BWA Yachting opens new offices in Italy
BWA Yachting, leading worldwide provider of marine agency services to superyacht owners and their crews, has announced the opening of new branch offices at ports around Italy. This is the most recent expansion of BWA Yachting’s presence in the Mediterranean, where the company already has a number of offices in Spain, France, Malta, Corsica, and Monaco. Spearheading the company’s effort to serve clients cruising the Italian waters is new managing director Caterina Oliviero, formerly of the Venice-based JLT Group.

The move comes in response to a proven demand for BWA Yachting’s services in Italy that is expected to grow. Italy offers some outstanding cruising locations with stunning scenery, such as the Aeolian Islands, Amalfi Coast, and the Riviera of Portofino. BWA Yachting’s chief executive Stefano Tositti says the decision to open Italian branch offices is a natural outgrowth of the strong client and partner base the company already enjoys in this part of the world.

“Under Caterina’s leadership, BWA Yachting is well positioned to grow our impact in the region by supporting our client’s concierge requests directly. BWA Yachting Italy is further evidence of our commitment to building a lasting presence in the Mediterranean, and to invest in long term client relationships,” he said.

BWA is setting up branch offices at ports around the Italian coastline and major islands, at Civitavecchia, Ostia, Savona, Genoa, La Spezia, Elba Island, Naples area, Cagliari, Aeolian Islands, Palermo, Trapani, Riposto/Taormina, Syracuse, and Crotone and will be present in Venice, Trieste, Ancona, Pescara, Ortona, Bari e Brindisi.

Caterina Oliviero welcomed the decision and said she was very excited to be leading the expansion of the company by creating a strong local presence in Italy, where she will be ably assisted by operations manager, Giorgio Palomba. “Our success in the industry demonstrates BWA Yachting’s value and its role of being global and local at the same time. I am very proud and happy to work for a company that shares my determination and desire to deliver the best service and assistance possible to our yachting clients in the Mediterranean. After 12 years in the industry, I am delighted to finally have the oppportunity to serve our clients in a much wider area that includes going beyond the Adriatic.”

BWA Yachting already has offices in more than 275 ports and marinas around the world where it aims to provide clients with a “simpler and smarter superyacht experience”. For more information, see www.bwayachting.com.
