New Regulations Update: Mandatory appointed agent for all vessels larger than 45m LOA in order to cruise along Croatian territorial waters
BWA Yachting, leading worldwide provider of marine agency services to superyacht owners and their crews, would like to inform you about significant changes to nautical tourism in Croatia, which will take effect on Friday, July 15th 2016.

The Croatian government has decided to employ a new regulation stating that it will be mandatory for all vessels larger than 45m LOA to have an appointed agent in order to cruise along Croatian territorial waters.

The main reason for this new regulation is the Croatian government's requirement to monitor the arrival of all large category vessels longer than 45m (LOA) through an IT system called Croatian Integrated Maritime Information System (CIMIS), which can only be used by registered maritime agents.
