BRADBURY SERVES AS CHAIRPERSON
LUGANO, Switzerland - BWA Yachting sponsored the 4th Annual USSA Captains Briefing and Reception held by the U.S. Superyacht Association on January 28th and 29th in Port de Plaisance, St. Maarten. Over 40 captains along with U.S. government officials and 40 USSA members were in attendance.
Donna Bradbury from BWA Yachting who served as Chairperson of the meeting said, “This event is unique in that it provides an excellent opportunity for superyacht captains and U.S. government officials to discuss relevant issues and challenges facing the industry today.”
The captains briefing, held in St. Maarten, also invited representatives from the ICAN Foundation to participate in the event. The Foundation, founded in 1996, provides a safe home environment for 27 children who were victims of neglect or abuse in St. Maarten. In 2007, their home was irreparably damaged by fire. The superyacht community participated in this local initiative by donating monies towards the creation of a new home environment for these young people.
